Dance Returns to Vignale Monferrato: Vignale in Danza 2025 & 2026

As the proud hosts of Il Ritiro here in Vignale Monferrato, we love sharing the incredible events that make our village so special—and this summer, dance took centre stage! The internationally acclaimed Vignale in Danza 2025 festival was back, bringing young, talented dancers from across Europe to our charming hilltop town  - book now for the 2026 season!

Set against the rolling hills of Monferrato, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the festival transformed Vignale into a vibrant hub of culture, creativity, and emotion. Every year, Vignale in Danza celebrates the next generation of professional dancers through masterclasses, competitions, exhibitions, and breathtaking performances—all framed by our historic streets, terraces, and gardens.

This year, the festival kicked off on June 15 and continued throughout the summer. Highlights included:

  • Palazzo Callori, our stunning local landmark, hosted the main performances, offering a magical backdrop in its upper gardens and terrace.

  • Local and regional schools showcased young talent during gala evenings, including participants from Alessandria, Como, Genoa, Vercelli, and Novara.

  • Unique performances across Gran Monferrato, from Mirabello to Tonco, blending the beauty of the landscape with the artistry of dance.

Some standout events this year included:

  • Opening Night – Giselle at Palazzo Callori (June 27)

  • Competitions in classical, contemporary, and modern dance (June 28–29)

  • Galas of local schools (June 30, July 1, July 5)

  • Special performances and aperitivo evenings, including Sogni (di una notte di mezza estate) and Don Quixote

  • Photography exhibition capturing the magic of dance, running from June 15 to November 2
