Nestled in the rolling hills of Monferrato and beside the tranquil Grana stream, Vignale Monferrato is a charming, picturesque village in the province of Alessandria. Easily accessible by car, it lies just over an hour from Milan or Turin airports, making it the perfect destination for a serene Italian escape.
Steeped in history, the village dates back to the Middle Ages and was originally part of the Marquisate of Aleramici of Monferrato. Its strategic hilltop location saw the construction of a castle, later expanded by the Paleologi dynasty, who also built the 15th-century Servite complex and fortified the surrounding lands. The Callori counts took residence here until the 19th century, and their former home, Palazzo Callori, is now the Regional Wine Shop, welcoming visitors since 1979.
Vignale is renowned for its viticulture, with local wineries producing wines that reflect the originality and quality of the Monferrato region. Notable nearby estates include the highly regarded Hic et Nunc cellars, among others, where wine enthusiasts can explore the rich local heritage.

Evenings were just perfect — great dinners at the local restaurants, especially Osteria Luna, which was only about 100m away! I had high expectations for my stay, and you didn't disappoint. The villa was perfect, and I really appreciated how warm and comfortable it was in every room. I can't wait to come back! ."
